Every year around this time, I make a cider that always turns out to be rather popular.
I don’t really use a recipe but I’ll share what I can remember from the billions of times I think I’ve made this.
This can be made either alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Of course with the alcoholic version will take about 10-14 days to ferment, along with a conditioning period of another 14-30 days before getting the full enjoyment of the aforementioned cider.
I like to make my own base cider using a press but if you need a quick start just use something like 1 gallon on Musselman’s 100% pure cider. It will work fine.
Here’s the ingredients:
- 1 gallon cider
- 12 cloves
- 1 small navel orange, sliced
- 1 inch ginger root, sliced
- 8 Allspice berries
- 3 cinnamon sticks
